Bike to School Day

John R. Downes Elementary School in Newark is again hosting a celebration of National Bike to School Day for its students, parents, and staff. The school has organized this event in partnership with BikeNewark, the Delaware Department of Transportation, the City of Newark, WILMAPCO, Newark Bike Project, and the Safe Routes to School program.

Students will bike into school from four nearby locations, beginning at 7:45 a.m. that morning. Newark Police will provide traffic control and escorts. Click on map for enlarged view.
