University of Delaware’s Student Government Association and BikeNewark present UD Bike Days—an event to promote safety and civility on UD and Newark’s roads and paths—from May 1–5, 2017.

This year a robust schedule of events (including a bicycle-civility sign campaign, free spring bike check-up, and critical mass First Friday Ride) is being offered as follows:

Bike Central on The Green
(Wed., May 3, 1–3 p.m. on The Green at Delaware Avenue crosswalk)
Bring your bike to receive free bike lights, mini-tune ups, rules of the road, bike registration, giveaways and raffle.
Make Your Pledge
(Tue., May 2, at Perkins and Thu., May 4, at Trabant, 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.)
Stop by to make your pledge to drive, ride, board and walk safely and civilly on roads and paths in Newark and at UD. Enter our raffle!
First Friday Critical Mass Ride and Post-Ride Party
(Fri., May 5, 5:15 p.m., Meet-up on The Green at Delaware Avenue crosswalk) Join us for a slow roll on Main Street and along White Clay Creek. Appropriate for all riding levels. Post-ride party on The Green. T-shirts (limited supply), drinks, snacks, music and raffle.
